Jenny Patterson-Kerr, M.A.
is a Reiki Practitioner and a
Reiki Master apprentice. She has been giving Reiki treatments for over 20
years. Reiki or Universal Life
Force Energy is an ancient healing source that Tibetan monks used long ago in
their meditative and healing practices.
Jenny uses her hands to gently guide and channel the energy into your
body for a relaxing and soothing experience. She intuits where energy may be
stuck and gently releases these places of dis-comfort to allow your body’s
natural healing mechanisms to flow and be supported in its journey toward
integration and wholeness. Since August, 2010, Jenny has been in training as a Reiki Master apprentice. During the early part of 2012, Jenny will be attuned as a Reiki Master Teacher. She is very excited about this upcoming endeavor and then she will be ready to start teaching Reiki I and Reiki II to all those interested in receiving this energy awakening. Jenny is also a teacher and a facilitator of groups and
classes. Some of the group topics are: Mindfulness: Being Present in the
Moment; Authentic Movement: Moving to your own drum beat; Communication Skills
and Relationships; Boundaries, How do you find them, set them and then keep
them? Learning to Love Yourself Unconditionally; How do I tolerate distress and
regulate my emotions?
Jenny has been working with the public in a variety of
capacities. Jenny began her career as a Pregnancy Counseling and Medical
Assistant at Planned Parenthood in the mid-90’s. She counseled both men and
women about birth control choices, pregnancy prevention and family planning
options. Her work also included
working in both the teen and HIV clinics serving members of the North Bay
Community.
Jenny then went
into the teaching field in 1999 and currently works for Santa Rosa City Schools
as a Home and Hospital teacher. She teaches teens who are medically unable to
attend school and home schools them.
In 2009,while Jenny was achieving her Masters in Counseling,
she worked at the Community Counseling Clinic on the SSU campus as a MFT
trainee. She counseled a variety of clientele dealing with a plethora of issues
like: trauma, PTSD, addictions, mental illness, dual diagnosis, relationship
and family dysfunction, spiritual and existential dilemmas, boundaries, self-esteem,
depression, goal setting, developmental transitions, etc. Now, Jenny works as a
Relief Counselor at Progress Sonoma, a Crisis Residential Facility in Santa
Rosa. She facilitates group
therapy, counsels clients 1:1, helps provide a safe and warm atmosphere, and
helps with crisis intervention.
In December of 2010, Jenny received her Master’s in
Counseling and is a registered MFTI (Marriage and Family Therapist Intern). She
has a 12 year old son in 7 grade and they live in Rohnert Park.
Jenny is a member of: CAMFT, SRCSPC, IARP and Santa Rosa
Chamber of Commerce.

The first Reiki session includes a 15 minute assessment and
diagnostic interview for $65.00.
